Greetings!

My name is Allison Matthews. I am your art teacher for this school year. This will be my second year teaching and I am so excited to get started with some great lessons!

This summer I was able to teach summer school again through IPSF and got some great ideas for this new school year. Some of the lessons will be similar or even the same as last year but we have a lot of new ones planned too!

A little about me: I earned my credential in Art Education at Concordia University in Irvine and love creating and teaching art! I have been making art since I was very young but I became serious about art in high school. My favorite mediums are acrylic paint, printmaking, and collaging. I also love to learn new ways to create works of art.

My goals are for students to build and improve upon things they already know and to gain an appreciation for art - whether that is art making or just a love for art in general. I look forward to helping students develop skills with problem solving and thinking outside the box as well as creating works of art.
