Birthdays 

Birthday celebration!

• I will reserve the week of/around your child's birthday for your child to be our Star of the Week! He/she will be my special helper for the week. If your child has a summer birthday, I will let you know which week is open during the year for your child to be our Star of the Week. 

• The birthday star may present a slideshow or a poster about him/herself to the class! Let me know if you would like to use Google slides or a paper poster. (Click on the Google link for a template or ask the teacher for a paper poster for you to decorate with your child.) Please share the slideshow with me via email a few days before so I can check for any technical issues. The poster may be brought to school the week before. 

• Your child may bring any special items from home for "show and tell" during the birthday week. They can be something your child likes, something special to your family or culture, or something related to your child's special talent. 

• No food/treats during the school day, please. (e.g., No cupcakes, cookies, pizza, or drinks)

• Optional: Favors or goodie bags may be brought to school for your child’s birthday. No food items, please! We have several children who have food allergies. Your child will pass out the bags on/around his/her birthday.
