This section is dedicated to an overview of the materials and tools needed for the completion of the assignment.
Students will be asked for a brief commentary on the themes of the Seminar. We suggest making reference to the themes addressed: surface, image, identity and aesthetics, when analysing a case study.
The paper will consist of a brief report, written by the student (to be submitted in Italian or English) that relates the case study of a historical building with themes addressed during the seminar.
The report will consist of a first section dedicated to the presentation of the identifying data for the case study selected and a second section giving an account of the materials and principle phenomena of alteration and/or deterioration. The conclusion will focus on a critical commentary on the case study selected in relation to the proposed themes.
