EQUALITY has been presented at the International Workshop on Classroom Noise: A Research Update hosted in University of Padova, organized by the PRIN projects LEARN and EQUALITY and supported by the European Next Generation Program Mission 4 C2 Inv1.1. 

It's an incredible opportunity to share the first project outcomes on within and cross-domain effects of environmental parameters on pupil’s sensation and performance in classrooms, which is part of the funded PRIN project #EQUALITY that I am leading since 2023. This is also a great opportunity to learn from the experience of international experts and national colleagues. We are here to discuss the challenges and solutions related to noise in classrooms, a fundamental topic for the well-being of students and teachers.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who have collaborated in #EQUALITY project, Piercarlo Romagnoni, Pietro Scimemi, Antonino Di Bella, Ilaria Pittana, Cora Pavarin and Irene Pavanello.  

The workshop aims to foster dialogue between researchers and professionals studying noise in school environments and its effects on students and teachers.
The event will feature contributions from national and international experts on topics ranging from the cognitive effects of noise on learning and environmental comfort in classrooms to teacher well-being and the experiences of students with special educational needs.
The day will conclude with a roundtable discussion on tools and methods for assessing children’s performance under noisy conditions.
This workshop is part of a broader, multidisciplinary effort to improve the quality of learning environments, bringing together experts in acoustics, psychology, neuroscience, and education.
