Overview:

• Open to all grades K-12

  • Grade bands: K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12

• Challenge scenario announced the day of the competition in zoom

• Students will design and 3D Print a solution to the challenge

• Students will record and share a two-minute video explaining their invention for the judges

How to Participate:

1. Enroll a team of 4 students to login into Zoom by 9:10 to hear the challenge, then design and 3D Print their creation.

2. Enroll a class to join us in Zoom by 9:10 to hear the challenge, and have an in-class design-off. The top team (2-4 students) share their design as your finalists via Zoom in the afternoon. How you hold your design-off is up to you!

• LIVE Synchronous Zoom held April 14th

  • 9:00 AM - Zoom Room Opens

  • 9:10 AM - Challenge Announced

  • 9:10-1:00 - Team member is available so that teams can text or call to ask questions. In your classroom, students design and 3D print their design

  • 1:00 - Final Designs (1 Team/classroom) are shared with judges.

    • Winners will be announced at 8 am on Thursday morning. If the judging concludes quicker than we expected, we will send it before the end of the day on Wednesday.
