IUPUI, 2025 Graduate: Meghan Ellington
In my time at IUPUI I have seen the difference that accessibility makes for myself and many peers. This experience has opened my eyes to fact that there is not a standard process for obtaining accommodations for college students across public schools. For the first time, myself and many of my peers have had to advocate for themselves by themselves. This is difficult, if not impossible, for disabled students. In my engaged learning experience I have been able to gain some understanding of how the undergraduate education functions and is one step in my journey to make college education more accessible.
