WELCOME!
Hi! My name is Marissa Parcell (she/her) and I'm a sophomore at IUPUI! I'm majoring in Forensic & Investigative Sciences and Biology, with a minor in Chemistry.
My internship site is Dr. Imranul Alam's lab within the IU School of Medicine, which focuses on understanding bone and mineral diseases (osteoporosis and osteopetrosis) using cell and molecular biology, genetics, and drug testing on mouse models to explore possible treatment strategies.
