As a team member, I believe I bring the following strengths to the table: problem-solving, critical thinking, a growth mindset, and good listening skills. I believe these to be my strengths because in current and previous team experiences I use these skills to contribute to the success of the group I am working with.
From previous team experiences, I have learned about what dynamics make teams work well. I was a member of multiple sports and extracurricular teams growing up. From these teams, I learned the importance of structure, organization, and mutual respect. In order for a team to be efficient people need to be willing to embrace the role, they are given and excel at it the best they can. Whether the role is big or small all roles are important in contributing to the success of the team. This being said, in order for this to happen mutual respect needs to be present between all team members to create a healthy environment that enables productive work to be completed. Along with these components, it is important for team members to be organized. If a member does not understand a task part of being organized is being able to ask questions to resolve the issue.
