Competitor Analysis Project - STAR Financial Bank
During my summer 2024 internship at STAR Financial Bank, I conducted a competitor analysis of six banks in the Fort Wayne market. This project strengthened my research and critical thinking skills through market research, financial analysis, and a presentation to senior leadership.
Having the opportunity to work on a competitor analysis project that deepened my understanding of the commercial banking industry, market positioning, and strategic decision-making. This experience directly aligned with my goal of developing expertise in financial analysis and strategic growth initiatives within the banking sector.
For this project, I conducted market research, financial statement analysis, and a comparative evaluation of competing banks. The final deliverable was a comprehensive report and presentation to senior leadership, outlining key findings and potential strategic actions.

Additionally, this project prepared me for my next steps in banking by reinforcing my ability to analyze financial data, identify strategic opportunities, and contribute to high-level decision-making. The hands-on experience I gained from this project has solidified my interest in commercial banking and financial strategy, positioning me well for my future career.
