My name is Lauren Fancher, and my pronouns are she/her. I am a sophomore majoring in biology along a pre-med track and aspire to become a pediatrician. I am a patient care associate at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY near my hometown. I work PRN while classes are in session and full-time in between semesters/during breaks. My internship is at Riley Hospital for Children with Dr. Jacob, a pediatric hematologist. Dr. Jacob is conducting research into expanding care options for children with sickle cell disease such as through telehealth services.
