My name is Lara McGlothlin, and I am a sophomore at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and minors in Health Psychology and Neuroscience. In my rural hometown, poverty and mental health disorders are extremely prevalent amongst the population, including the youth. Therefore, following my undergraduate degree, I aspire to attend medical school and ultimately become a pediatrician. Through these academic pursuits, I hope to become the pediatrician that is needed within my local community.
