I have had the opportunity to learn how to run CT scans of rat and mouse bones for my internship. I'd call it a success that I can do this by myself without having to ask for help. I was trained on the CT scanner and can use it on my own now. My biggest challenge so far has been learning how to do the digital rotations and reconstructions of the bone scans that I do. It took a lot of practice to remember the values for the settings and to know how to organize it in the filing system. I'm overcoming this challenge by continuing to practice and asking questions when necessary.
Overcoming the challenges I faced from my lack of technology knowledge will help me in my future career as a physician assistant. It is essential to be fluent in the use of technology in the healthcare field since everything is digital.
