The Jaguar Leadership Network is a 2-year scholarship program that focuses on the leadership development of university students through mentoring, networking and engaged learning.
As part of the engaged learning portion of the JLN program, I volunteered with La Casa de Amistad, Youth Summer Programming each semester while completing the dynamic leadership training program.

I'm passionate about helping my community grow and find ways to make healthcare accessible.
I'm passionate about helping my community grow and find ways to make healthcare accessible.
As someone who's goal is to get into medical care, specifically Dermatology, I want to provide ways for people from minority and/or low-income communities to be able to get access to healthcare that is seen more as a luxury to most. I want to provide service to my community to increase confidence and well-being which would better ones quality of life.
Some things about me are that I am a Mexican first-generation student from South Bend, Indiana who also comes form a low to medium-income family. My love for my culture is reflected through one of my passions, Mexican Folkloric Dance and my singing. I am also a painter and occasional cook or baker.
