This project focused on identifying opportunities within our field experience to advocate for student needs. My specific area of focus was to optimize resource allocation and strengthen support systems. During my time in the classroom, I discovered that not only do teachers have limited budgets to inspire art students, but they also don't know their budgets with enough advanced notice to make sufficient lesson plans. In response, I developed an advocacy plan aimed at improving the distribution and accessibility of budgets and resources for teachers to ensure that all students and teachers receive the resources they need to succeed at the middle school level.Â
