My name is Holley Law. I am a current student at IUPUI who is majoring in Forensic Investigative Science. I want to work as a specialist in fingerprint analysis once I have graduated with my degree. I have always seen videos online of people being wrongfully convicted of crimes they did not commit. I want to help bring the number of those happening lower through the power of having the facts that will be crucial to putting the correct person behind bars.

Life Experiences:
Various Leadership Positions:
I have participated in various ways in life to be a leader and make an impact on those around me. These positions include but are not limited to archery captain, yearbook editor-in-chief, cheerleading as a coach, and team captain as an athlete myself, as well as leadership positions in JROTC that have led me to make an impact on various people. Not only that but I have done a lot of volunteering throughout my life to be impactful on society in a positive way.
My Family's Impact on Me:
My family has always told me to follow my dreams and stand up for what I believe in. As well as they have instilled in me that to get something that I want I need to earn it through hard work and acts of service. Hard work will earn me what I strive to achieve. My entire life has been all about honesty and hard work.
A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
I live by two quotes in my life that are both from the Sarah J. Maas Books. These books and quotes have gotten me through a lot of my hardest parts in life. More specifically the A Court of Thorns and Roses Series and Throne of Glass Series, that Maas has written.
Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas
“All objects in the universe are unique. No two things that happen by chance ever happen in exactly the same way. No two things are ever constructed or manufactured in exactly the same way. No two things wear in exactly the same way. No two things ever break in exactly the same way.”
― Joe Nickell
My Major
My major here at IUPUI is Forensic Investigative Science. The reason that I am doing this as my major is to be able to put the right people behind bars for crimes that they have committed as well as to help keep the innocents out of jail for crimes they did not commit. I am currently debating adding a criminal justice minor. The study of law enforcement and how court proceedings go will be helpful if I ever become an expert eyewitness. All of this will then help me make a greater impact in my career.
My Career Goals
I hope to be able to go straight into my career after college and be able to make a big impact in my line of work. I want to help reduce the number of wrongful convictions. My goal is to be able to help our police force get the correct people and avoid corruption in a crime. Corruption runs high in the news and a lot gets covered up by that, I want to help lower the amount of corrupt cases that go under my guidance through the inspection of details. Especially with a specialization of fingerprint analysis.
