Hello everyone, my name is Gisela Perez (she/her), and I am majoring in Health Sciences and minoring in Spanish. I am a pre-medical student and am hoping to go to medical school to become an anesthesiologist in a pediatric hospital. I am a native Spanish speaker, but I'm using the skills developed through my Spanish minor to improve my grammar and knowledge of medical terminology in Spanish.

My internship site is developing a culturally and linguistically adapted Early Autism Evaluation (EAE) Hub site for Spanish-speaking Latine families with young children at-risk for autism.

I am very excited about my role in this internship and the opportunity to provide high-impact assistance to Latine community. I have a great passion when it comes to serving my community and I am very excited to be a part of this life-changing research initiative.
