Angel Gammon

My name is Angel Gammon and I'm currently a Senior with an anticipated graduation date of May 2025. I'm pursuing a B.A in Sociology through IU Indianapolis (IU Indy) and my career goal consists of professional mentoring in an academic setting, specifically a college-level setting. I find education and the support of it to be extremely important for students, especially in consideration of those who are first generation, lower-income based, derived from  other marginalized communities, etc. I hope to land a position in an advising role to help aspire students who may fit this or any other criteria. I have been able to be involved in numerous activities on campus that have helped me gain insight on this role. I have worked as a mentor for OTEAM (a first year seminar based program for incoming freshmen), a Residential Assistant, and by serving numerous executive board positions in Vietnamese Student Association (VSA) at IU Indy , currently as the President. Throughout my time at IU Indy, I believe it has well equipped me for my personal and professional goals and will help me strive to achieve them.
