My Internship Experience

Hello! My name is Emerson Kilgore (She/Her) and I am a sophomore at IUPUI who is double majoring in Forensic Science and Chemistry while minoring in Biology. I am hoping to purse a career in pharmacology and/or toxicology.

My internship site, under Dr. Padma Portonovo, focuses on the different steps of pharmacology development from research to producing and selling prescription medicines.

Besides working at the IU school of medicine, I am also a teachers assistant for the Organic Chemistry class on campus and volunteer as a undergraduate research assistant in Dr. Lauhle's Organic Chemistry lab.
