My LHSI Experience

Hi there! My name is Ellie Cornett and I am a junior at IUI. My pronouns are she/her and I am majoring in Biology. I'm also minoring in Medical Humanities where I learn about the social determinats of health which will benefit my patient care in my future career as an OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner! 

I'm an intern for the perinatal postraumatic stress lab ran by Dr. Michelle Miller. In this lab, I interview women who have recently given birth to determine whether their experience was traumatic. Through these conversations, I recruit participants for the study in which Dr. Miller aids their experience with PTSD! I work mainly at Riley Maternity Tower and this is hybrid work. I have absolutely loved this internshipl!
