My name is Dayra Sanchez and I'm majoring in Medical Humanities & Health Studies with minors in biology and Spanish. I am a 2nd year pre-med student interested in obtaining a medical degree and specializing in gynecology and obstetrics. While on campus, I've volunteered through my freshman Themed Learning Community and the Latino Student Association in activities advocating for issues that afflict minority populations in the Indianapolis area, such as access to voting and poverty. My greatest strengths include my commitment to the vision of minority empowerment through healthcare, my passion for the science of medicine, and my drive to overcome any obstacle.
