1. Build on my interpersonal and professional skills in a clinical lab setting.

• Call recruitment availabilities.

• Participate in clinical recruitment.

• Collaborate with members of a research team.

From this goal, I have learned more maturity and confidence as a result of being at my internship site. I learned how to interact with a clinical research team, and learned professionalism. I can use what I've learned from my internship site at other professional careers and workplaces. 

2. Demonstrate and learn ethical, moral, and social responsibilities in clinical research protocols. 

• Complete CITI and Qualtrics training.

• Familiarize in relevant IRB confidentiality forms.

• Contribute to IRB protocols for research database.

From this goal, I was able to learn responsibilities conducted when carrying out research. These responsibilities protect patients from risk associated with the study. Psychological research at my internship site let me see first hand what it's like to be able to obtain informed consent.

3. Gain a working knowledge of database design and management in research.

• Design Redcap forms through training videos.

• Contribute to maintenance.

• Pull reports from Redcap database.

From this goal, I was able to create a chart review for my internship site to record data from in clinic recruitment availabilities. 

My current career goals is to:

1. Graduate college in 2025 with my B.S in psychology.

2. Attend a Clinical or health psychology graduate program where I can continue my studies, and earn my master's degree. 

3. Build upon my knowledge of what I already know from previous life experiences and apply them to psychology. 

I plan to complete my internship, and used what I've learned from my site. My next career goal is to apply to a graduate school program for Psychology. While I am uncertain about which graduate program I would like to specialize in, this internship has allowed me to explore different options. As of right now, I am interested in developmental and clinical psychology. My next steps are to look into other internships, to figure out my specific field of interest within psychology. My current goal is to graduate in 2025 with my Bachelor of science in Psychology.
