Internship Goals
1.) Learn to Prioritize my Time and Build Better Time Management Skills
Attend a meeting with my supervisor Nicole to talk about my tasks for the upcoming week
Create a calendar on Notion to create time blockers and a set understanding of where and how to spend my time
Test my time management skills by carving out specific times to work on a bigger project that I have been given. (AR Maintenance Project for the Direct Billing Process)
2.) Be an Efficient AR Clerk by the Time I Leave the Internship
Ask my supervisors, Nicole and Jessica, questions that I have throughout the learning process when I have them as well as when I attend my meetings with them
Learn each program that the hotel uses and how to efficiently use them, taking notes when prompted
Explain any difficulties I might have experienced throughout the week at my weekly meeting with Nicole
3.) Get a Better Understanding of the Full Department and Other Facets of the Hotel
Create a prepared set of questions, concerns, and things I have to go over before my monthly meetings with the department heads.
Make a calendar reminding me of the dates and times I have set with the department heads, John, Mindy, and Jordan.
Put myself into positions where I can learn more about the hotel even if I feel uncomfortable at first.
My career aspirations are centered around cultivating an unconventional professional path characterized by dynamic challenges and frequent changes. I envision a role as a financial advisor where I can leverage my skills to assist clients in managing their finances strategically. This includes a desire to engage in frequent travel to better understand clients' unique financial landscapes and provide tailored solutions that make a meaningful impact on their wealth management objectives.
I am drawn to a career that goes beyond traditional financial advisory roles, one that embraces change and demands adaptability. The prospect of navigating the intricacies of clients' financial portfolios, coupled with the opportunity to offer innovative and personalized strategies, aligns with my goal of making a substantial difference in the lives of those I serve.
As I have learned more about different careers in finance I am sure that the goals I have set for myself will make me happy. I want to be successful, I want to make my family proud, and I want to make myself proud. I believe being a well-known and established financial advisor would allow me to accomplish those things! So in conclusion I am very sure of this career path.
