Anna Maddux
Hi! My name is Anna Maddux (she/her) and I am majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Psychology and Art. After undergrad I plan to attend medical school and specialize in pediatrics. My internship site is at the Indiana University School of Medicine and Riley Hospital for Children under Dr. Becca McNally, who's work primarily focuses on autism research. My interest in neuroscience sparked when I was diagnosed with ADHD at age 17 as a senior in high school. I wanted to know how and why my brain works so differently than others, and I wanted to know more about neurodevelopmental disorders in general. Studying the human brain is fascinating to me, there is so much that is unknown. I want to make a difference by shedding light on the unknown and help others who also neurodivergent.
