I am Abigail Turner. I am a junior at Indiana University–Purdue University  Indianapolis completing a major in Medical Laboratory Sciences with a minor in Biology. Medical laboratory scientists complete diagnostic testing of biological samples and communicate findings to physicians to determine treatment options. I want to be a part of a healthcare team and have skills that are transferable in a research setting. 

For my 2023-24 school year, I will be an intern at the Herman B. Wells Center for Pediatric Research in the Linnemann Lab, researching inflammatory stress responses for diabetes research. I will be using this site to share my experiences at this internship!
