1. How can I participate?
There are many ways in which individuals and groups can get involved this year:
Donate preloved and brand new items for migrant workers. A wishlist of gift options is available below
Donate CNY goodies for the bazaar
Volunteer to sort donated items for our CNY bazaar
Contribute to our fundraiser to help us buy essential items to gift to workers
2. Who are the donated items for?
The donations are for the wonderful migrant workers of Singapore, who build and maintain and keep Singapore clean & beautiful. They are all men, so please do not donate women's or children's items.
3. What items are required?
Examples of needed items include:
New
1.5 L water bottles (most popular)
Safety shoes (we rarely if ever, get donations of safety boots)
Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, body wash/soap, shampoo, razors, tiger balm or similar)

4. Do you accept clothes and bedding?
No, unfortunately. Clothes and bedding donated tend to vary widely in quality and many of such items fail the quality check (stains, pilling, bed bugs). In addition, clothes cannot be recycled in standard recycling bins. The effort it takes to sort through clothes can be better channeled for other purposes, and as such, we do not accept clothes and bedding at our CNY Bazaar. We seek your understanding on this.
5. Do you accept opened CNY goodies?
No, unfortunately. We do not accept donations of opened snacks. This is a firm policy that we have put in place in order to preserve the dignity of our migrant workers. We appreciate your understanding and support of our efforts to provide a positive and respectful experience for all involved in the event. Thank you for considering ItsRainingRaincoats and we hope you will still participate in our bazaar in some other way.
