Info for incoming students and staff

IIS Giulio Natta is a state upper secondary school (Scuola Secondaria di Secondo Grado) and its courses are:

1. Science-Based Liceo - Applied Sciences Option, also with the option of a Maths Enhancement course

2. Industrial Technical Institute - Graphics and Communication

3. Industrial Technical Institute - Mechanics and Mechatronics with the following specializations: Plastic Materials, Energy, and Mechanics and Mechatronics

The strength of our school is the mixture and contamination between the three different study areas which benefit from the presence of common learning environments and teachers belonging to all the courses of study. 

The students of IIS Giulio Natta are 14 to 19 years of age and their socio-economic background is generally high. The data examined shows a low percentage of families with both parents unemployed and a good level of families' schooling. The incidence of students with non-Italian citizenship is low. These students are mainly second-generation foreign students. 

The school welcomes students from a vast territory that includes a considerable number of municipalities adjacent to the city of Rivoli; the towns of origin are located in the western belt of the city of Turin and especially in Val di Susa.

The territory is characterised by the presence of small and medium-sized companies in the mechanical/mechatronic, plastics and energy sectors. The school collaborates with and has the support of the productive realities of the area, the state Institutions, and the various educational agencies.
