Our school hosted the third meeting of the project, which involved: Italy, Lithuania, Spain and France.
The first day all the partners met a school for the presentation of the Italian mobility. The teams were taken to the gym and the playgrounds to play some sports as icebreaking activity, and after a short coffee break, the Italian students guided the teams in a school tour. Then they gathered in groups for preparing some questions for the interviews to the players and the coaches they were going to meet the next days. After the workshop the met in the city center of Capua for lunch and after lunch they visited the city.
The second day all groups went to Castelvolturno to visit the TAM TAM basket ground and meet Coach Massimo Antonelli who was a great basketball player during the 90s in Italy. Today coach Antonelli is worldwide known as the coach of the TAM TAM team, which trains children and teenagers, born in Italy but with parents from Nigeria and other African Countries, who live in Castelvolturno in very difficult situations. Massimo Antonelli won a legal fight to recognize all the children, studying in Italy but without Italian citizenship, the right to play for the Italian championships, the law is called “TAM TAM law”.
The Erasmus + students also met the members of the TAM TAM team (some of them study at IT “G.C. Falco”) and could try the music workout, invented by Coach Antonelli, and them also played a match.
The third day, in the morning, the groups visited the Royal Palace, and after lunch they were welcomed by the “Juve Academy”, the basketball team of Caserta, where they could watch the training and at the end, interview the players and the coaches.
The fourth day the Erasmus+ students visited Naples, at night they were invited to watch a Juve Caserta match, at the end of the match they met the historical player Nando Gentile who answered the students questions.
The fifth day ,at school ,the activities were focused on the Kahoot games and the evaluation of the project, but also on the final match on the school playground, among the school’s teams.
At the end of the activities at school, everybody met for the farewell party.
