INTERACTION OF AIR POLLUTION, CLIMATE AND HEALTH
Dr. Didin is an Assistant Professor in Environmental Engineering at Indonesia's National Institute of Technology (ITENAS). He holds a PhD and Master's degree from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). He obtained his bachelor of engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). He previously worked at AIT on research projects funded by international donors. He teaches courses on air pollution and has a research focus on 3D chemistry transport models, emission inventories, and environmental assessments. He's published extensively, won AWMA competitions, led air quality projects, and trained internationally. He has been involved in several expert meetings at the IPCC for SLCF and currently serves as lead author for the 2027 SLCF IPCC Methodology Report. He is recently acting as head of LPPM Itenas and general secretary of the Indonesian Aerosol Association (IAA). His research areas are as follows:
Air pollution monitoring (indoor and outdoor)
Emission inventory of air pollutants and Greenhouse Gases (GHGs)
Meteorological modeling (MM5, WRF, etc)
Air quality modeling (CTM, AERMOD, etc)
Emission source modeling (IVE, LandGEM, etc)
Health impact assessment
Air quality related policy analysis
