Our group focuses on developing models/software tools for prediction of state-of-charge (SoC), state-of-health (SoH) and anomaly detection in lithium-ion batteries. Our models include electrochemical mechanisms inside batteries and strive to achieve balance between fast-charging, longer life and safety based on cell design and chemistry and needs of the applications. Our battery tools maintain balance between accuracy and speed, and they are created for battery cell design optimisation, electric mobility and stationary storage. Our group also focuses on developing models for supercapacitors, hybrid capacitors, sodium-ion batteries and solid-state batteries. We are interested in everything about batteries and their applications. We actively lookout for collaborations from industries and academia.
