Assignment Completion

Students' success in fifth grade is greatly dependent on having assignments completed on time and promptly after absences.

If a student is missing an assignment when due, they will fill out a pink slip and get it signed by a parent/guardian with completed work to bring back the next day.

If an assignment is 1 day late, it will be marked 10% off

The 2nd day an assignment is missing, students will have an opportunity to work on it during quiet lunch.

To encourage students developing sense of responsibility and ownership of their learning, they may not call home for homework to be brought to school.

Friday Afternoon Bonus (FAB)

We are often able to enjoy some free time on Friday afternoon and expect all students to be able to participate. A student may miss FAB time if:

missing work was not returned with a signed pink slip the next day
2 or more assignments were late during the week
any work is missing
they received a blue or orange note (minor/major infraction) during the week
