The signing of a grant agreement between the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) and the University of Tartu (TARTU ULIKOOL, Estonia) as the coordinator of the BOOST project was the good news that started the new 2023 European Integration year for the Donbas Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture. This grant agreement was signed within the EU Erasmus+ program aimed to support actions in the fields of education, training, youth, and sport in Europe. The DonNACEA together with 2 foreign universities of Slovenia (The University of Primorska) and Poland (The University of Applied Sciences in Elbląg) and 5 higher education institutions of Ukraine (Poltava V.G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University, Bohdan Khmelnytsky Melitopol State Pedagogical University, Izmail State University of Humanities, Kremenets Taras Shevchenko Regional Academy of Humanities and Pedagogy, Mukachevo State University) will act as one of the beneficiaries and parties of the consortium in this project. During the BOOST project’s lifetime, which will last for 2 years, the main activity will be aimed at supporting regional Ukrainian universities in their aspiration to join the European educational space and establish contacts with colleagues from the EU. The project expects a smooth exchange of ideas, the EU partners will share their good practices and help the partners from Ukraine to enhance the technical, digital, educational, community and international capacity of their higher education institutions. The project encompasses 3 study trips of the representatives from the Ukrainian higher education institutions to the EU partner universities for the exchange of best practices, which will promote the use of student-centered blended learning methods, facilitate the launch of 1 new compulsory "Student-Centered Approaches for Blended Learning" educational course and an update of already existing courses. As a result of the BOOST implementation, the IT and technical capacity of the participating universities will be strengthened, the internationalization strategies will be updated, and a Roadmap of support for remote regional universities will be developed. The outcomes of the project will be disseminated through the planned webinars "University Digitalization Plan" for the universities’ administration, online conference "Digital Tools for Interactive Learning", an international week "University International Cooperation and Grant Activity". The Ministry of Science and Education of Ukraine as an associated partner will ensure the spread of the project results at the national level. Currently, the DonNACEA is conducting preparatory activities to form the project team, to distribute responsibilities and to outline the major areas of activity. The official launch of the BOOST is scheduled for March 1, 2023. Together to Victory, Together to European Integration!
