Taking Action
How We Express Ourselves:
There are ways to take action through the arts.
There are ways to take action through the arts.
What action can you take throughout the Exhibition?
What is your group’s responsibility based on what you have learned?
All students are expected to take responsible action. This should happen throughout the entire process and is an important part of your learning.
Participation: Collaborating and being actively involved in the learning.
Advocacy: Taking action to support or speak out for change in an area important to you.
Social justice: Taking action for human rights, social well-being and justice for all.
Social entrepreneurship: Identifying an issue or opportunity in the community and using your learning to create a solution or improvement.
Lifestyle choices: Making positive lifestyle changes in response to learning.
For the issue that you are investigating, brainstorm some practical ideas with members of your group. Make sure you choose an action that is practical and achievable.
What is your goal?
Who will be involved?
Where will your action take place?
Will your action be ongoing, or will you need to arrange a specific date and time?
What materials will you need to prepare?
Who will you need to contact or work with to make it happen?
How will you document and record your action?
