In 2018 a group of students heard talks by Jack Green and Linda Engle (ISU Math Faculty) about possible solutions to our climate challenge and decided that they could make a contribution to our planet by making ISU more resilient. Our club was born. By January of 2019, our club chair, Heather Phillips, created our constitution, Cami Pena and Eizaak Jordan gave a presentation to the Associated Students of ISU and we became an official ISU Club.
We have ideas to create a pollinator garden and possibly bee keeping, we could create an on-site composting to reduce food waste, we can work to reduce the amount of plastic ISU takes to the landfill. If you are an engineering student, we can do energy studies on our campus buildings. What's your dream for sustainability on campus? These things can happen when you join and become active in our club.
