The ASISU Early Childhood Association is dedicated to promoting the professional development and continuing education of its members while advancing the welfare of young children. We advocate for quality, accessible, and affordable child care by supporting the needs of children, families, and early childhood professionals. Our Association works to increase awareness of children's issues at Idaho State University and within the broader community, while also highlighting the opportunities available through the Early Childhood Care and Education Program at the College of Technology at ISU.
The ASISU Early Childhood Association is committed to serving children, families, and our campus community through a variety of outreach events. We support children and families with special needs by participating in events such as the Special Needs Trunk-or-Treat and the Eggcessible Easter Egg Hunt. To meet the needs of Idaho State University students, we organize an annual November Food Drive benefiting Benny’s Pantry, the on-campus food pantry that supports students facing food insecurity.
Additionally, we promote early childhood education by hosting interactive booths at events like STEM-Up and Tech Expo, where we model developmentally appropriate STEM experiences for young children and their families. We also support local initiatives such as Read, Talk, Play, which encourages early literacy, language development, and family engagement.
