Che cos’è Erasmus+?

Erasmus+ è il programma dell’Unione europea per l’istruzione, la formazione, la gioventù e lo sport in Europa. Nato nel 1987 con il nome di Erasmus, dal 2014 è chiamato Erasmus+ ed è il più noto e longevo dei programmi finanziati dall’UE nell’ambito della mobilità tra paesi comunitari. Un record confermato dai numeri, con oltre 13 milioni di persone coinvolte dal 1987 a oggi.

Il nome Erasmus è l’acronimo di EuRopean community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students, ma, soprattutto, rende omaggio a Erasmo da Rotterdam, il grande umanista olandese che 500 anni fa viaggiò in tutta Europa per comprenderne le differenti culture.

Cosa significa fare l’Erasmus+ oggi?

Innanzitutto, partecipare al Programma Erasmus+ significa godere di un’opportunità senza confini. Inoltre, Erasmus+ è partecipazione, crescita personale e un’esperienza concreta di mobilità europea.
