Welcome Message From the Director of IST:

Welcome to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and to IST!

Invitational events are special in that they bring together our schools for competition and collegiality in a uniquely international arena. For us at the International School of Tanganyika, it is a special honor to be hosts and we wish to thank all those involved in the organization of this wonderful chance to exchange ideas and be creative together. We are particularly proud to be able to host Forensics this year as it is our very first time hosting this event.

Over the next few days, you will meet and work alongside fellow students from 6 schools: the American International School of Johannesburg, International School of Uganda, American International School of Mozambique, as well as Haven of Peace Academy, Dar es Salaam International Academy, and of course, International School of Tanganyika. 

Congratulations to all of our actors, speakers, and debaters who have made it this far: being able to represent your school at an international event is a tremendous accolade. Thank you also to all the advisors for your tireless effort and long hours in preparing your teams to compete at such a high level. 

And finally, to all the students: your participation this weekend is a marvelous opportunity. Take advantage of your time with us and the memories will remain long after the final word is spoken.
