Homeroom Teacher
Homeroom teachers will be assigned to a class for two weeks and will work with those students throughout the entire duration of the program. As their main teacher, homeroom teachers with teach a variety of topics in English. This may include topics in Science, History, Geography, and so on. Teachers are not expected to be experts in the aforementioned subjects - the focus of our program is not to teach the subjects, but to teach the students how to think & speak about various topics in English.
Teachers will be able to indicate a preference for grade levels in the application form.
Art (Music, Art, and/or Drama)
The Art teacher will work with students in either the lower (G1 to G3) or upper (G4 to G6) grade levels.
Sports (Physical Education)
The PE teacher will work with students in either the lower (G1 to G3) or upper (G4 to G6) grade levels.
Phonics
The Phonics teacher will work with students in either the lower (G1 to G3) or upper (G4 to G6) grade levels.
Cooking
The Cooking teacher will work with students in the lower grade levels (G1 to G3).
Technology/ICT
The ICT teacher will work with students in the upper grade levels (G4 to G6).
Salary: 250,000 yen (before tax) for two weeks
Lunch will be included
Transportation costs will not be covered
All teachers are required to attend the Staff Orientation on Friday, July 18th.
Every teacher will be expected to be at the International School of the Sacred Heart from 8:00am to 3:30pm, throughout the entire session.
There will be staff meetings for all teachers and assistants at 8:00am every day.
Lunch will be provided (by Cezars Kitchen), and you will be eating in the cafeteria alongside the students.
Please note that teachers with less teaching hours will be given supervision duties during break and/or lunch. They may also be given additional duties when the need arises.
