Lesson 1
KJS EdTech
Employing CARP Principles of Design
in Google Slideshows
1. CARP Review (from Mr. T's laptop
BUT
this video of it remains here)
If you were here last year you have some knowledge of this already.
Now
YOU
will make your own slideshows about individual principles:
each slide is an example of one CARP Principle
(Listed below)
So... 4 slides, right?
If you were here last year you have some knowledge of Google Slides already.
Sign in to your Drives
Close your laptops
Watch me make a template
If you are DUPLICATING, EVERYTHING WILL BE IN EXACTLY the same place
Make a new slide deck
SHARE IT WITH YOUR TEACHER AND ME (LIKE THIS...)
Show us what you can do!
A
) Set up your Google Slides Presentation
B
) Pick a position where images will go
C
) Pick the position where point form notes will go
D
) Duplicate that slide to be used as a template
(COMMAND D 3 times = 4 slides EXACTLY THE SAME)
.
Each slide needs to represent one of the CARP principles:
Contrast
Alignment
Repetition
Proximity
If time student volunteers can present single slides
We can worry about Title slides later
