WELCOME!

I am very pleased and excited to welcome all of your children to Middle School Language Arts and Social Studies. During this year in Language Arts, 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th grades will learn new material and review core skills in areas of reading comprehension, critical writing and analysis, creative writing, poetic language, vocabulary, and grammar. We will build a knowledge base of research skills and informational writing proficiency. We will explore core concepts for learning and analyzing historical events and their connections to contemporary events and trends.
