Hi, my name is Tara Rider, but everyone calls me Mrs.Rider! I am the Teacher for Visually Impaired/Blind students for Iredell Statesville Schools. I graduated from Kutztown University with a dual degree in Elementary Education and Education for the Visually Impaired. I have a masters degree from Millersville University in Special Education. This will be my 32nd year teaching. I am originally from Long Island, NY. My family relocated to NC 11 years ago. I enjoy family time with my husband and daughters.

I am the Orientation and Mobiliity Specialist for the district.  This is my 23rd year here and I love it!  I graduated with my undergrad in education from Michigan State and graduate degree in Blind Rehabilitation from Western Michigan University. I enjoy outdoor activities such as riding mountain bikes and motorcycles with my family.
