Requirements and application
The Mooresville Garden Club offers scholarship funding to be used for tuition and/or fees required for enrollment, books, supplies, and/or equipment required for course work in a post-secondary accredited institution. The award will be issued in accordance with the rules set forth in the Mooresville Garden Club guidelines.
Eligibility Criteria:
A graduating high school senior with a 3.0 or higher GPA
Planning to enroll in an agricultural or horticultural program at an accredited North Carolina college/university, community college, or certificate program.
Requirements:
Completed application
Teacher/counselor (or other non-family member) recommendation including why the student is qualified for this scholarship. This must be emailed to mgclubtreasurer@yahoo.com or mailed in a sealed envelope.
Brief personal essay (no more than 400 words) describing the reason for choosing a degree in agriculture/horticulture
Meet the application requirements and deadline.
Agree to an in-person interview.
The recipient is expected to attend a Mooresville Garden Club event for a photo that can be used in future publicity

Lake Norman Tennis Association Scholarship NEW! $2500 4/15/2026
Requirements and application
All tennis – playing high school seniors in the Lake Norman area are encouraged to apply. The high school senior selected for this award could be playing on a school team, in tournaments, or in USTA Junior Team Tennis. LNTA is not seeking the best tennis players to receive this scholarship, but for students who actively participate in competitive tennis and community activities in the Lake Norman area.

Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for the Skechers Scholarships, students must be high school seniors who have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Students also must be planning on attending a two- or four-year accredited college/university, technical, or vocational education program. Additionally, three of the scholarships have additional eligibility requirements:
The SKECHERS Athletic Performance Scholarship is only open to students who are playing a sport at the collegiate level.
The SKECHERS Financial Hardship Scholarship requires students to have demonstrated financial need.
The SKECHERS Promising Leaders Scholarship is open to students who have a track record of leadership in their school or community.

The African American Caucus Financial Need Scholarship is designed to support high school students whose financial circumstances may create barriers to pursuing higher education. Eligibility is determined by a student’s overall financial situation, which may include factors such as family income, employment, existing scholarships, or other economic considerations.
This scholarship aims to reduce financial obstacles and expand access to educational opportunities for students from lower‑income backgrounds. By easing some of the financial burden, the scholarship allows students to focus more fully on their academic goals and long‑term aspirations.

Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Education Status: Applicants must be high school graduates and provide proof of acceptance to an accredited post-secondary institution.
Enrollment: Recipients must be enrolled or planning to enroll as a full-time student, defined as a minimum of twelve (12) semester hours or nine (9) quarter hours.
Eligible Institutions: Awards may be used at accredited community colleges, technical or vocational schools, professional programs, and four-year colleges or universities.
Academic Requirements: Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
Photo Requirement:
Applicants must submit a 3x5 or 5x7 photo (non-returnable).

Award Frequency: This a one-time scholarship awarded annually. Previous recipients are not eligible to reapply.

The Criminal Justice Fellows Program is open to high school seniors and high school graduates. To be eligible to apply for and participate in the Criminal Justice Fellows Program, an individual must be a North Carolina resident, be a high school senior or a high school graduate, intend to pursue an Associate in Applied Science in Criminal Justice or other Committee approved related field of study (2-year degree) at a North Carolina community college, and intend to work full-time in an eligible criminal justice profession anywhere in North Carolina for four (4) years following graduation.
