Eligibility Criteria:
Must be a graduating senior at LNHS
Must have a weighted GPA of 3.0 or higher
Requirements:
Creative Portfolio
Submit 2–3 examples of original creative work showcasing your talent and creativity in your chosen field. Examples may include work in visual or fine arts, creative writing, culinary arts or culinary design, architecture, interior design, fashion, photography, film, digital media, marketing or design concepts, or other creative disciplines.
Letters of Recommendation
Submit two letters of recommendation from teachers, mentors, or community leaders who can speak to your creativity, character, or dedication to your chosen field.
Personal Statement
Submit a personal statement describing your academic experiences, extracurricular involvement, and passion for the creative field you plan to pursue. Your response should reflect the experiences, projects, or moments that inspired your interest in this field and how you hope to continue developing your creativity in the future. Minimum 500 words.

The attorneys at Younce, Vtipil, Baznik & Banks, P.A., are dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of the people we represent and in the North Carolina communities we serve. In keeping with that commitment, we are pleased to announce our 2026 scholarship contest to help some deserving students in North Carolina with college education expenses.
To be eligible to enter the essay contest, an applicant must be a resident of North Carolina, be a high school senior and have a GPA score of 3.0 or higher.
Applicants must submit electronically an essay through this platform.
Applicants who are 17 years old or younger need to provide parental consent.

Must have completed THREE levels of a foreign language

Through our Youth Leadership & Scholarship Program, we provide financial assistance, intensive case management, peer support, and leadership opportunities for students who have experienced homelessness to help you get to and through college, build your career, and create a strong foundation for your future.

Eligibility Criteria:
You are eligible to apply for the SchoolHouse Connection Youth Leadership & Scholarship Program if you meet all of the following:
You currently reside in the United States. (Undocumented applicants are eligible.)
You were born on or after June 2, 2007.
You will be starting college for the first time in the 2027–2028 academic year at a: four-year college or university, community college, or trade school. This includes:
High school juniors
High school seniors planning to take a gap year
Students earning a GED who plan to start college in 2027–2028
Note: this does not include dual-enrollment courses.
You have experienced homelessness within the last six years.
Our program begins working with students one year before they start college to provide intensive college readiness support.
