Mr. Beatty began his teaching career during the fall of 2007 after spending seventeen years working in industry.  He has worked for a technical furniture company, and an engineering company, but spent the majority of his career with large telecommunications companies as a mechanical designer/project manager.  He has years of experience dealing with customers, customer driven designs, manufacturing processes, small and large vendors, budgets, deadlines, communications and the day to day operations that come along with “corporate America”.

 Here is a brief list of some of his credentials.

•           Began drafting career in 1988.

•           Worked for firms such as General Instrument, Prodelin Corporation, Tripoint Global, General Dynamics, CSA Wireless and Jaybeam Wireless.

•           Designed and/or helped design cellular phone tower antennas, parabolic terrestrial antennas and satellite earth stations currently in use across the world. Finished products have been deployed in Europe, Africa, Canada, the Middle East, Korea, Japan and the US. Many of these antennas are still being deployed across the world in unknown and top secret locations.   Organizations such as the United States Air Force, Hughes Network Systems, Harris Corporation, Muzak, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless,  and AT&T Wireless are using these products today.

•           Developed AutoCad drawings for commercial architects, custom metal fabricator, modular furniture manufacturer, large construction companies and since 2013 has drawn over 200 blueprints for custom homes that have been built in Western NC.
