The Institute of Statistical Research and Training Alumni Association (ISRTAA) welcomes all ISRT alumnus to attend Institute of Statistical Research and Training Alumni Association's First ever reunion, which is being organized to mark the inaguration of the ISRTAA alumni. The purpose of this reunion is to bring together all graduates who studied at ISRT (ISRT) since its inception.
The Institute of Statistical Research and Training (ISRT), University of Dhaka is one of the foremost institutions for training and research in Applied Statistics in Bangladesh. It was founded in 1964 by the Late Professor Dr. Qazi Motahar Husain, an eminent scientist, academician and a leading proponent of the statistical sciences in this country. The coming year will stand out as a landmark in the history of the Institute because on January 27th, 2018, the newly formed Institute of Statistical Research and Training Alumni Association (ISRTAA) will organize its first-ever reunion. Over the past fifty years, ISRT has produced many talented statisticians who have made significant contributions in academia, industry, and government organizations both at home and abroad. The ISRTAA reunion aims to bring alumni members back to their alma mater so that they can reconnect with their past, forge new relationships, and join faculty members and current students in promoting the general welfare of the Institute.
The Honorable Vice Chancellor of the University of Dhaka, Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman, will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. The reunion will also be attended by several renowned statisticians and eminent personalities who will reflect upon the contributions statisticians have made in the country’s development as well as highlight the future challenges. This event is not just about getting together; it is about celebrating statistics, forming new professional collaborations and helping to shape the future of ISRT.
