Breakfast & Lunch

Breakfast and lunch will be served on August 15th and August 16th at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.  

August 16th will be a boxed lunch to allow for travel home.

Suggested Restaurants for Dinner

Wednesday, August 14th and Thursday, August 15th will be dinner on your own.  Please reference the Employee Handbook for details on expensing your dinners.

Activity Ideas

On the afternoons/evenings of Wednesday, August 14th, and Thursday, August 15th, take some time to soak in all that Downtown Pittsburgh has to offer - use these suggestions to spark ideas.

What Should I Bring?

Your school-issued laptop and charger, a notebook/paper, and a writing utensil.  Please remember to pack and wear your Insight PA ID lanyard.

Charging areas will be available, but please also arrive with a fully charged laptop each morning.

Schedule Overview:

August 14th  (optional) 

Arrive late afternoon/evening, check into your hotel, and connect with colleagues.   Try some restaurants or activities.

August 15th (required) 

Arrive at the David L. Lawrence Convention 

Center at 8:00 AM for breakfast.  Dismissal for the day will be at 4:00 PM.  Don't forget to make fun dinner plans!

August 16th (required) 

Arrive at the David L. Lawrence Convention 

Center at 8:00 AM for breakfast. Dismissal will take place at noon to allow for travel home.  Boxed lunches will be provided.  


Dress Code

Dress is business casual, jeans are appropriate as long as there are no rips or tears.

Per the Employee Handbook - examples of inappropriate business casual attire include shorts, sweatpants or athletic/work-out attire, printed logo t-shirts or jerseys, halter tops and uncovered tank tops, clothing exposing the midriff, denim that is ripped, torn, patched or not in good taste.

Athletic shoes may be worn provided they are clean and well-kept.

Check-in will begin at 8:00 AM each morning through a QR code on tables in the Spirit of Pittsburgh Ballroom.  Please fill out the attendance form using your device.  If you do not have your Insight PA ID lanyard, please create a nametag to wear for the day.
