Course Description
The Vltava River is the most beloved river in the Czech Republic. It flows from Vyšší Brod through Český Krumlov and Zlatá Koruna all the way to Boršov nad Vltavou. Even during dry summers, it offers a wonderful water ride with a gentle current, occasional rapids, and a whole range of navigable weirs that make the trip both joyful and exciting.
And let's not forget about the significant historical landmarks: the monastery in Vyšší Brod, Rožmberk Castle, the monastery and Gothic church in Zlatá Koruna, the ruins of Dívčí Kámen, and Český Krumlov, which attracts tourists from all over Europe - and you will pass through the center of it all on your boat ride. You can spend your evening in the medieval streets of this charming town after a day on the water. Don't miss out on this thrilling adventure!
Itinerary (Subject to change)
On Monday, September 18th, we will depart from Prague-school at 8:00 AM and arrive in Vyšší Brod where we will begin our canoeing course. Take in the stunning scenery as we navigate the river and stop to explore Rožmberk castle before arriving at the cozy Nové Spolí camp cabins for our overnight stay.
Tuesday, September 19th, breakfast is served from 8:00-9:00 AM. 9:30 AM departure by bus to Rožmberk. Free time to explore Rožmberk and continue the river trip from Rožmberk to the Nové Spolí camp cabins.
On Wednesday, September 20th, we will continue our journey down the river from Nové Spolí camp cabins to Český Krumlov where you can explore the castle and the charming UNESCO-protected town at your own leisure. In the evening, we will return to Nové Spolí camp cabins.
Thursday, September 21st, starts with another delicious breakfast from 8:00-9:00 AM before we set off for Zlatá Koruna, where we will continue our water adventure. After our return to Nové Spolí camp cabins, you will have some free time to enjoy the surroundings.
On Friday, September 22nd, we will have an early breakfast from 7:30-8:30 AM, pack our belongings, and depart to Zlatá Koruna for the final leg of our canoeing course to Boršov nad Vltavou and then bus transfer back to ISP.
Included: Inflatable canoe or raft (or a mix of both), paddles, waterproof bags, life jackets, kayaking jackets

Learning Goals
