What if aliens are real, and they live a trillion years
And they've watched every single one of us since birth
What if aliens exist, as an endless consciousness
And for fun they watch a TV show called Earth
There's a bunch of different storylines, the moral isn't clear
And it feels like the writing's gone downhill in the last year
And everyone's a hero painted in the proper light
And the show's in multicolor though it acts so black and white
In its 100 millionth season for what it's worth
A TV show called Earth
As we gaze out into space, they're a few feet from our face
Eating popcorn, drinking soda with their friends
Though to us, it might seem cruel, how they keep a betting pool
On the way the human storyline will end
'Cause everyone's a villain who just looks out for their own
And be careful picking favorites, 'cause they all end up as bones
And the ensemble is pretty good, the leads all mostly suck
And recently they've trashed the set to make a couple bucks
And a plot like that has not been seen before
They might only have a couple seasons more
Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah
Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah
And when the show is done, by war or storm or sun
I wonder what they want to watch again
Or grow bored with what what we do, and move on to something new
Saying, "Earth was decent, seven out of ten"
"I liked the dancing and the music and and the sea foam on the shore
I wish the writers had been kind enough to sprinkle that in more
'Cause the war bits and the poverty, I wasn't a fan of
But I really dug on all the parts where humans fell in love"
See they've watched us from our primordial dawn
Until the very last one of us was gone
And one turns to the other with the clicker in his hand and says
"That was fun, let's see what else is on"
Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah
Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah
I must say what a brilliant speech you gave
Who goes there?
Just a friend who could help you save your men
A foe like Circe is not to be messed with
You want to beat her?
You'll need the blessing of a certain god
Divine intervention
Someone who's not afraid to send a message
Hermes?
Wouldn't you like a taste of the power?
Wouldn't you like to use more than words?
Deep in the night, the fight lasts for hours
You can be hurt or you can beat her
Wouldn't you like to have some of the magic?
Wouldn't you like your outcome preferred?
Deep in the night, the fight can be tragic
I'll help you conquer her
She can turn you into an animal that'll end up on her plate
She can all but make you fall in love like you're on your hundredth date
She can conjure up a monster that'll grind you to the bones
She has all the ways to haunt you, when you take her on alone
Wouldn't you like a taste of the power?
Wouldn't you like to use more than words?
Deep in the night, the fight lasts for hours
You can be hurt or you can beat her
Wouldn't you like to have some of the magic?
Wouldn't you like your outcome preferred?
Deep in the night, the fight can be tragic
I'll help you conquer her
Oh-oh, here in the root of this flower
There lies such a power to take her on
You must consume and digest it
Then you'll manifest a being of your creation
All you need's imagination
Though it's only for a moment
'Til you've beaten your opponent
And I call this root, "Holy moly"
Wouldn't you like a taste of the power?
Wouldn't you like to use more than words?
Deep in the night, the fight lasts for hours
You can be hurt or you can beat her
Wouldn't you like to have some of the magic?
Wouldn't you like your outcome preferred?
Deep in the night, the fight can be tragic
I'll help you conquer her
Wouldn't you like a taste of the power?
Wouldn't you like to use more than words?
Deep in the night, the fight lasts for hours
You can be hurt or you can beat her
Wouldn't you like to have some of the magic?
Wouldn't you like your outcome preferred?
Deep in the night, the fight can be tragic
I'll help you conquer her
Hermes
Thank you
Don't thank me, friend
You very well may die
Good luck
Now it's always once upon a time, in New York City
It's a big old, bad old, tough old town, it's true
But beginnings are contagious there
They're always setting stages there
They're always turning pages there for you
Ain't it great the way it all begins in New York City
Right away, you're making time, and making friends
No one cares where you were yesterday
If they pick you out, you're on your way
To a once upon a time that never ends
So Oliver, don't be shy
Get out there and go and try
Believin' that you're the guy
They're dying to see
'Cause a dream's no crime
Not once upon a time
Once upon a time in New York City
If it's always once upon a time in New York City
Why does nightfall leave you feeling so alone
How could any one stay starry-eyed
When it's raining cats and dogs outside
And the rain has said "now you're on your own"
So Oliver don't be scared
Though yesterday no one cared
They're getting your place prepared
Where you want to be
Keep your dream alive
Dreaming is still how the strong survive
Once upon a time in New York City
Keep your dream alive
Dreaming is still how the strong survive
Once upon a time in New York City
Keep your dream alive
Dreaming is still how the strong survive
Once upon a time in New York City
And it's always once upon a time, in New York City
I want the love that you deny me
That I need so desperately
The tenderness that you posses
You've deprived me
You must pray for the lonely night
That I walked the floor for you
And don't know you must erase
All the tear stairs on my face
Surrender your love baby
Surrender your love
Surrender your love baby
Surrender your love
Don't you know that I'm taking my case
To the highest court of love
And these are some of the charges
You'll be found guilty of
You've used me and abused me
'Till I felt like I wanted to die
You created a need in me
That only you can satisfy
Surrender your love baby
Surrender your love
Come along peacefully
Surrender your love baby
Surrender your love
Give it to me, ah right now
Give it to me, give it to me
Give it to me all, give it to me
Ah, right now, give it to me
Give it to me, give it to me
Surrender your love baby
Surrender your love
Surrender your love baby
Surrender your love
Surrender your love baby
Surrender your love
Surrender your love baby
Surrender your love
So long, Mom
I'm off to drop the bomb
So don't wait up for me
But while you swelter
Down there in your shelter
You can see me
On your TV
While we're attacking frontally
Watch Brinkally and Huntally
Describing contrapuntally
The cities we have lost
No need for you to miss a minute
Of the agonizing holocaust
Little Johnny Jones, he was a U.S. pilot
And no shrinking violet was he
He was mighty proud when World War III was declared
He wasn't scared
No sirree
And this is what he said on
His way to armageddon
So long, Mom
I'm off to drop the bomb
So don't wait up for me
But though I may roam
I'll come back to my home
Although it may be
A pile of debris
Remember, Mommy
I'm off to get a Commie
So send me a salami
And try to smile somehow
I'll look for you when the war is over
An hour and a half from now
In the morning sun I am awakened
From all of the fire that's born in the sky
In the morning sun, my dreams are saving
The moments that found a part of my life
So alive
So am I
Yeah, yeah
In the morning sun, the trees are singing (da-da-da-da-da)
Humming their sound talking to clouds
In the morning sun we hang on the seasons (da-da-da-da-da)
Lift off is the final step to goodbye
So alive
So am I
So alive
Yesterday finally moved me, I built the stairs
Tomorrow makes a thousand new reasons I wanna share
The up and down, back and forth feelings gives me a ride
Smiling at the goddess of evil, I learned to fly
I learned to fly
The more that I become a new reason, I wanna try
Yesterday finally moved me, I built the stairs
Tomorrow gives a thousand new reasons I want to share
The up and down, back and forth feelings gives me a ride
Smiling at the goddess of evil, I learned to try
The road we travelled on, has never been the one with least resistance. We've made it through the years, the agony and tears by sheer persistence, to the edge of a brave new world. Counting up to twenty has been difficult for some, but as we learn to count to twenty, should be easy to get to twenty-one! A hundred years ago, we really start to show off our invention. We acquired the clout, to take each other out was our intention. It's amazing we're all still here!

Call me a fool, but I'm a fool with a heart. I'm an optimistic man, I believe we can make it. Even though I don't always sleep at night, waiting for the light to come and wake me. My thoughts are with the young, they must be the ones to come and save me. We just have to let them breathe!
Counting up to twenty, could be difficult for some, but if we help them count to twenty, should be easy to get to twenty-one.

Taken to a bar where I don't feel that ease with the faces of my friends who I don't recognize,
It can be hard to admit, but take me home please.
I need to put on old sweaters in front of the mirror,
Drink lukewarm tea from an old college mug,
And nothing could bout' take and try not to shiver.
Then later well both half apologize with the one on top,
We'll promise second, second tries and maybe we'll deliver.
I dare to dream the dreaming done,
I thought the thinking all thought out,
But know I know i've just become,
To learn what living is all about.
Seated on a chair where i'm crusting my hands near to the old haze of friends who I won't let inside,
It's not easy to confine I don't fill their clans,
I meant to scroll all my album, s-smile for a stranger, eat plastic snack and get ready for bed,
And hear how hot the night was,
And go back to differ.
Then later we'll have speak regrets but leave worst things unsaid,
We'll recommit to real night and maybe we'll deliver.
I dare to dream the dreaming done,
I thought that thinking all thought out,
But now I know that i've just become to learn what living is all about.
My phone keeps on ringing summoning spells,
But i'm not some kind of spirit that you can compell.
My phone keeps on ringing summoning spells,
So of course i'll answer it and hope no one will tell,
I dare to dream the dream began I dare to dream
I thought my thinking over-thought,
And now i'm told i need someone to know what living's all about.
Trapped in a room with a one person crowd,
A guy I make laugh that I can't tolerate.
He stands much to close and is a trifull too loud I crave my own playlist not this full harmony.
Smile without teething, keep eye on the door
Wish I could exit but continue not running.
Go to the toilet and leave that water running,
And later we'll admit to issues and agree to ignore our mistakes.
We should be over or maybe were to stubborn.
I dare to dream a dream for one,
I think my thinkings nodding down
But know I know I can't outrun whatever this is all about.
My phone keeps on ringing summoning spells,
But im not some kind of spirit that you can compell,
So of course i'll answer it and hope no one can tell,
That i'm waiting for them in a two cologgy venue with others around whose clans go inside,
It's not for me to pretend i'm in the menu,
I wished I could be someone to on stroll outside,
Call my own ride five honduras in my pocket,
Affirm how sweet it all was and not feel my tongue glide.
And later we post the same pics and a pime on thread
Or maybe I won't be bothered.
I dare to dream the dreaming done,
I thought the thinking all thought out,
And know I know what life just began
( Keeps on ringing )
Guess i'll be right over…
