Adventure Program
The adventure program is just that... a chance to try some adventurous challenges in a safe and comfortable environment. There will be some strenuous activity at times, but plenty of chances to cool down in the water including a visit to one of Japan's cleanest and most beautiful lakes. What more do you need!?!
Planned Activities
- Rappelling and rope work (knots)
- Rock climbing experience
- Extended lake hike (with multiple swims stops)
- Pool swimming
- Water play and safety
- Day hiking
- Bamboo survival shelter (Hang out spot)
- Night hiking (moonlight walks)
- Camp fires (incl. how to build a fire safely)
- Team-building
- Large scale thematic zentangle mural painting
- Movie night

There is a great little bamboo forest nearby where students will work together to make their own little hideout next to a stream near the Yumenojo basecamp.
Ikeda has a fantastic network of mountain bike and hiking trails. Students will have numerous opportunities to explore the area during all three programs.
