Dear Delegates, Advisors and Guests,

On behalf of us all at International School Manila, I would like to extend a warm welcome to our campus and to the Republic of the Philippines. We hope your stay with us will be enjoyable and you get a sense of the warmth and vibrance for which our host country is renowned.

ISM is honored to be hosting Cultural Convention for Dance, Drama and Tech and we will do our utmost to deliver a successful and memorable event. CulCon is a great opportunity for students to showcase their creativity, and learn from their counterparts in other IASAS schools. This kind-hearted collaboration is the hallmark of the IASAS confederation and it helps to make every event a unique and rewarding experience.

We are excited to watch the amazing performances you have prepared for us over the next three days. The buzz during previews could be felt all over campus and we look forward to experiencing this event with you. IASAS CulCon really is one of the most anticipated events of the year and we are grateful for the hours of hard work and dedication that it has taken to get you to this point. I hope you take advantage of the opportunities to have fun and make friends that will surely come your way.

Hosting an event of this magnitude takes a great deal of hard work so please find time  to acknowledge the work of the organizers, advisors and parents who have each done their best to make your IASAS experience the best it could be. Thank you to all our host families for so generously welcoming our visitors into your homes. Home stays are an integral part of the IASAS experience and we are grateful to our community for their support and hospitality.

Thank you to the Fine and Performing Arts Department, the teachers, secretaries and support staff, for their energy and expertise in helping to prepare such an exciting program. We are very lucky to work with such a dedicated and talented team of professionals. Special thanks to the amazing Marsha Hillman, our Fine and Performing Arts Director, who has put so much work into this event. We benefit from her passion for the arts on a daily basis.

Finally, thanks to all of you for your energy and creativity. On Sunday, when you are able to relax and reflect on your time in Manila, I hope you do so with a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment. I wish you a wonderful IASAS experience.
