On this page, I will demonstrate how I chose the SDG and topic that I focus on.
This page also shows how I found and recorded my information.
My SDG is Life Below Water.
specifically is about clean water and what happens if you litter the oceans?
If you pollute water, animals that live in water may get sick. Or if someone drinks this water, he will also get sick. And if a person eats a contagious animal, he may get sick or die.To prevent this from happening, we must not throw garbage anywhere, but throw all the garbage in the plase for trash.
Plastic pollution can affect life below water.
The Problem
Plastic ends up in the oceans and seas killing thousands of sea animals and plants.
The Solution
If we stop throwing plastic in the oceans and seas can help keep our waters clean and restore life below water.
Reflection
The effects of water pollution on animals and plants have lethal consequences.
These are some of the most important resources I used to find out about my topic:
During the PYPx, I need to ask many people for help. I learned to write clear and professional emails. Here is a draft of my first message I sent to my mentor.
Dear Ms. Weaver,
I hope you’re well. I’m Kirill Stenin from Year 6 in Mr. Cullagh’s class. As of now, we are working on the PYPx. I’m focusing on the topic Life Below Water. I don’t know what I want to study about this topic yet, but maybe you can help me. I chose this particular SDG because I like swimming in clean water. I would also like to understand what makes water dirty.
This is a big project for me in which I will need some help from you. I heard you were my assigned mentor. Can you help and support me through the PYPx as my mentor? If yes, we would need to meet together to edit emails, review some details and other important tasks. To check my availability, please have a look at this document on the PYPx Mentor website.
I look forward to hearing from you!
