HOMEWORK

Monday 5/4 PERIODS 4, 5, and 8 (Period 3 did not meet today) 

Last week: We read all of part 1 in Night and completed two sets of questions. 

Today: We read all of part 2 (pg 23-28) in Night in class today. Please catch up on the reading if you were out. 

Wednesday 4/29- Night Study Questions Part 1 Pages 3-11 (middle) are due tomorrow (Thrs). You must answer in complete sentences. If you missed any of the reading, you must catch up to the middle of page 11 in Night. Questions must be turned in when you are done. 

Monday 4/20- Holocaust background reading comprehension activity from Friday should be completed and turned in. If you were absent, you must get the materials and complete the assignment. 

Night vocabulary activity #1 is posted in the Google Classroom. This must be completed and turned in by tomorrow. 

Monday 3/23- Literature Circle Part 2 questions and reading is due tomorrow, 3/24. You must have all the questions answered in order to receive credit. 

Wednesday 3/18- We worked on a NoRedInk assignment in class today. If you were absent, please make up the assignment when possible. 

Students also received the next set of reading questions for the independent novels. The next section of reading AND the questions are due at the start of class on Tuesday, March 24th. If you were out today, be sure to grab the question sheet when you return.

Monday 3/16- Literature circle books first reading section is due tomorrow March 17th.  Have your reading questions ready to be checked at the start of class. You must answer ALL questions to get credit. 

Friday 3/6 -The Inside Out and Back Again project is due at the start of class on Wednesday 3/11. Have all completed materials with you in your folder. We will put it all together during class. Monday is the last class day we will use to work on the project. 

Additional extra help is being offered Monday and Tuesday both AM and PM. 

Late projects will lose points for every day they are late. 

Tuesday 3/3- NoRedInk Commonly Confused Words is due by 11PM on Thursday 3/5.

We are currently working on the final project for Inside Out and Back Again. We are finishing up the first activity (Ha's Instagram) and are starting the second activity today ("I Am" poem). 

Wednesday 2/25- Quiz on Part 3 of Inside Out and Back Again tomorrow. Please study the 4 question sheets posted in the Google Classroom. This will be a 15 question multiple choice quiz. 

Wednesday 2/11- We completed an Achieve article in class today. If you were absent, please make up the multiple choice for the article titled "My World in Words". 

Reading questions for pages 115-161 and 142-161 in Inside Out and Back Again are due tonight. 

Tuesday 2/10- We have read pages 115-161 in Inside Out and Back Again. There are two sets of question sheets posted in the Google Classroom for those pages. BOTH sets of quetisons are due tomorrow night (2/11). 

Monday 2/2- Complete the Inside Out and Back Again Part 2 (1st Half) questions (pages 73-95) by the start of class tomorrow. This is a handout. 

NoRedINk Assignment (4 parts) is due on Thursday, 2/5 by 11PM

Quiz on Inside Out and Back Again Part 2 (BOTH halves) will be on Friday, 2/6.

Monday 1/26-We finished Inside Out and Back Again on Friday. Completed digital workbook is due this Wednesday, 1/28. 

Outsiders trip is Thursday. 

Tuesday 1/20- We read through page 41 in Inside Out and Back Again. Slides 7-11 in your Inside Out and Back Again digital workbook should be completed by Thursday. 

*Reminder-guidance counselors from the HS will be meeting with our classes tomorrow (Wed).  Have your Chromebook charged. 

Monday 1/12 Please make sure the final draft of your Witness essay is turned in by 11:59PM TONIGHT or it will lose points for lateness. 

*We will collect Witness books in class tomorrow. Please bring them with you. 

NOREDINK Conjunctions/FANBOYS/SWABI Due Thrs. 1/15 (11PM) 

Thursday 1/8- Witness dynamic character essay is due on Monday. We have been working on this essay in class for the last few days. Students have two planning pages to help them. The final essay must be typed and submitted through the Google Classroom. 

Thursday 12/18- We read through page 147 in Witness in class. Keep working on the Act 4 and 5 questions (handout). Quiz on Acts 4 and 5 of Witness will be on Monday, 12/22. 

Wednesday 12/17- We finished Act 4 in Witness today. Students were given the Act 4 and 5 study questions. You can start working on the Act 4 questions. The QUIZ has  been MOVED to Monday, 12/22. The quiz will be on Acts 4 and 5 of Witness. 

Tuesday 12/16- We took the Witness chapters 2 and 3 quiz today. If you were out, be ready to take it when you return. 

We started reading in Act 4 of Witness. Most classes read up to page 113. 

QUIZ on Witness Acts 4 and 5 this Friday, 12/19. Study your questions (we will get them tomorrow). 

Monday 12/15- NoRedInk Adjective/Adverb should have been completed on Friday.  Witness Act 3 Questions should be done. Act 2 and 3 quiz is TOMORROW, 12/16. Study your questions. 

Friday 12/12- We finished reading Act 3 of Witness in class today. Study questions for Act 3 were handed out. Quiz on Acts 2 and 3 will be on Tuesday. 

Wednesday 12/10/25- We are reading through page 70 in Witness in class today. If you are out, please try and catch up on the reading. 

NoRedInk adjective/adverb assignment is due Friday by 11PM. 

Tuesday 12/9/25- Finish reading Act 2 in Witness. Answer the Act 2 Witness study questions (handout). Be ready to discuss in class tomorrow. 

Monday 12/8/25- If you have not taken the Act 1 Witness quiz, please be prepared to take it when you return. We read pages 35-45 in Witness during class. Please make up the reading if you were out. No new HW tonight. Good luck to all our musicians! 

Wednesday 12/3- We finished up the rest of Act 1 in Witness. There are reading questions posted in the Google Classroom. Those are due tomorrow. There will be QUIZ on Act 1 of Witness on Friday. Study your notes.

Monday 12/1- Study questions for pages 1-13 of Witness should be completed (Google Classroom). NoRedInk Commas 1 is due Thrs. 12/4

Friday 11/21- Make sure you complete the Achieve3000 article titled "True Blue; The Story of Jeans" by Monday. You only need to do the multiple choice. 

Wednesday 11/19-Final typed copy of your "Low Cuts" RACE paragraph is due by 11:59 tonight. 

NoRedInk activity due tomorrow by 11PM

Witness pre-reading activity is due in class on Friday.

Permission slips for The Outsiders play must be returned by November 20th. You must have both the permission slip and your form of payment.

Friday 10/31- The Outsiders One Pager project materials were handed out in class yesterday. The completed project is due on Thursday 11/6. We will work on it in class on Monday and Wednesday. Be sure to have your materials with you. Late projects will lose 5 points a day. 

Tuesday 10/28- Quiz on Outsiders chapters 9-12 will be on Thursday 10/30. Be sure to study your questions for each chapter (posted in the Google Classroom. 

Friday 10/24- The final copy of your Dally Character Activity is due on Monday. This is a handout activity.  

Thursday 10/23- Be sure to complete the rough draft of your Dally RACE paragraph. You can write it on the back of the brainstorming page, or you can use a separate piece of paper. Have it with you at the start of class tomorrow. 

Tuesday 10/14- We read most of chapter 7 in The Outsiders in class today. Students were given study questions for both chapters 7 and 8 today. Quiz on Outsiders chapters 7-8 will be on Friday. Study your questions. 

Wednesday 10/8- Outsiders Chapters 5 and 6 study questions (handout) are due at the start of class tomorrow. We will have our Outsiders chapters 5 and 6 quiz on Friday. Study your questions.

Tuesday 10/7- Be sure to complete the Outsiders chapter 5 study questions. Outsiders chapters 5 and 6 quiz will be on Friday. Study your questions.  

Tuesday 9/30- We finished reading chapter 4 in The Outsiders. Character report card assignment was shared in the Google Classroom. It will be due on Friday. We will continue working on it in class tomorrow. 

Monday 9/29- Chapter 3 questions are due tonight.  We read up to page 62 in The Outsiders in class. If you were out, please make up the reading. 

Thursday 9/18: Outsiders chapter 1 character chart should be turned in today. 

Chapter 2 in The Outsiders will be completed in class tomorrow (Fri).

Chapter 2 study questions will be completed in class on Monday (9/22)

Monday 9/15- All vocabulary sheets from Friday should be completed and turned in at this point. If you were absent, please turn them in tomorrow. We started reading in The Outsiders today. If you were not in class, be sure to grab a copy when you return. 

*Start thinking about an independent book you might be interested in. We will go to the library on Thursday. 

Thursday 9/11- We worked on the 1960's Webquest for the Outsiders in class today. If you were out, please complete the assignment and turn in. 

Wednesday 9/10- NoRedInk nouns activity should be done. Make sure to do all three sections. Due tomorrow at the start of class. 

Wednesday 9/3-  (1) Make sure your First Day Survey is complete.  This assignment is due no later than 8AM Friday.

 (2) Summer Reading Extra Credit- Attach to the assignment in the Google Classroom and turn in. Due Friday 9/5 by 3:00   PM (No late assignments will be accepted). 

(3) About Me shoe activity should be turned in no later than Friday 9/5 in class. 

Tuesday 9/2- Make sure your First Day Survey is complete.  This assignment is due no later than 8AM Friday.

Summer Reading Extra Credit- Attach to the assignment in the Google Classroom and turn in. Due Friday 9/5 by 3:00 PM (No late assignments will be accepted).
